Critical Site Protection
CONTROP’s EO/IR systems can be used to protect sites including critical national infrastructure that is vital for countries to function and for people to live their daily lives. Malicious actors can target critical sites such as power stations (nuclear and conventional), water treatment plants or communications networks, causing significant harm to a national population. The last several years have seen several examples of physical attacks by terrorist groups on critical sites including oil and gas installations and pipelines, utilizing a range of attack vectors including bombings and drone strikes.
CONTROP’s high performance multi-spectral sensors can quickly detect malicious activity around critical sites and alert security forces to act. Security forces can utilize CONTROP’s long-range SPEED family of sensors to automatically detect suspicious vehicles or people using high-definition day cameras or cooled thermal cameras. Security forces can also use the TORNADO-ER in critical site protection, with the advanced IR scanning system able to rapidly detect and acquire land targets out to 12km.

The SPEED-LR is a Land System designed to provide capabilities that were especially developed for diverse land environmental conditions. The system has an HD Thermal Camera and a SWIR Camera. Major advantage of the SWIR imaging for military applications is the ability to see images through haze, fog and glass.
The SPEED-MR 720/1200 is an advanced, wide area, passive, real time, modular 24/7 Electro-Optical super long-range observation system with Panoramic Scan and automatic moving object detection capability (Optional).
