CONTROP Reports Record Year for Company’s Activities in 2016

The company’s 2016 revenues increased by +30%, workforce grew by ±15%

Hod Ha’Sharon, Israel, CONTROP Precision Technologies Ltd. – a company specializing in the field of electro-optics and IR defense and homeland security solutions – announces a record year, with an over 30% (thirty percent) increase in revenue and about 15% (fifteen percent) growth in the workforce in 2016.

According to Dror Sharon, President and CEO, “We are pleased to announce that 2016 was a record year for our activities. There were a number of reasons for this significant growth – first and foremost, the continuation of our extensive development of new systems, which has kept us at the forefront of EO/IR technologies. All the solutions launched this year were the result of the feedback and requirements reported from the field by our customers, and we are pleased that, within a short period of time, we were able to meet their needs.”

This year the company launched the SPEED-ER and the TWISTER. The SPEED-ER is the first-of-its-kind land-based, ultra-long-range observation system. Unmatched for coastal and border surveillance missions, SPEED-ER’s visible, thermal & SWIR Channels provide a sharp and clear image in all weather and environmental conditions. This system has already been sold to a number of customers and deployed by an international client.

TWISTER, a lightweight portable automatic Intrusion Detection System, features 360° high-speed scanning. It is ideal for fast deployment for protection of forces, forward operating bases, borders and urban areas.

Mr. Sharon further remarked, “During the past year we were able to penetrate new markets and expand activity in existing markets. We opened offices and signed partnership agreements with local partners in several countries, which contributed significantly to the increased number of transactions and enhanced our ability to provide in-country technical support for our products.”

“We are already seeing an indication that growth will continue in 2017, with a further increase of around 20% (twenty percent) in both sales and manpower expected. As a result, we plan to significantly expand our production and office areas.”
